Supporting Your Body as Winter Approaches

HI Friends,

It's been a minute since I've been in your inbox. Last we spoke, it was end of June-- the sun was high in the sky, a heatwave as hitting and I was preparing for a summer full of outdoor yoga. And now, it's mid November-- I am in fuzzy socks and a fuzzy sweater as I sip on hot tea and kakao. There is already snow on the ground and I am wondering where the heck the year has gone.

2025 has been a wild ride for me and to be quite frank, it has been a challenging year in so many ways. (I shared a bit more of it here on substack) Running a yoga studio in a small town that is highly dependent on tourism was a WILD ride this summer. There were some weeks where I was flying high with the energy of summer and other weeks where I wanted to burn it all down and answer no more emails. But I made it! Fall in the Berkshires was absolutely magical and opened up some space for me to breathe again. I started seeing more Physical Therapy clients and my creativity and passion for what I do came alive again.

I used to think I was a summer girl through and through but now, I am thinking I am an Autumn. Summer is amazing and beautiful and if I could swim in the lake everyday I would. But there is also this mad rush to do ALL the things, squeeze in all the acitivites and see all the people. It's amazing AND exhausting. Fall invites us to slow down and reflect on what is working and what is not. It gives us space to let go and grieve what came before which in turns clears space for what comes next.

As we move into winter, the season calls to us to slow down, to rest and to nourish ourselves. I'm not going to lie, I am nervous that winter is goign to be COLD and LONG in the Berkshires this year but, I am also looking forward to more time to rest and to set a strong foundation for next year. This is why I love following the seasons and adjusting my life and schedule around them. Each season invites us into a different energy. We aren't meant to produce all year long, we are meant to create all year long, we aren't meant to do anything all year long. The seasons of the natural world invite us into their ebb and flow and we can learn a lot from it (or at least I can!)

I am super excited for this next season of life-- I am opening up more space for virtual clients, I am launching a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Lee, I am committing to writing more on my blog AND on substack. All my creative energy feels like it has found it's way back to me so I am also pondering with re-launching the podcast, redoing my website and (maybe?) relaunching Nourish Your Nervous System. With that said, I am also prioritizing slowing down and not rushing ANY of this, so stay tuned-- we'll see how it goes.

I wanted to leave you with a few bits on how you can still work with me as well as some offerings for how to take better care of yourself this season. Check them out! And say hi! It's been a while since I've been in your inbox and I'd love to hear from you

xx

Yoga Lee 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

I am launching a 200 hour in person yoga teacher training in January of 2026 with two of my teammates at Yoga Lee and I am so excited. It's going to be AMAZING!!

Why Train with Yoga Lee?

Our Yoga Lee Teacher Training isn’t the “one size fits all” generic yoga training that you might find at other programs. It’s not just about learning the poses; anyone can teach you Downward Dog. It’s a holistic approach that is grounded in science and soul. We want you to be able to find both the community and individuality in your yoga teaching, to find the person behind the practice. Our carefully curated, year-long training journey is led by a team with diverse expertise—rooted in science, creativity, and ritual.

I'd also LOVE to extend the following Early bird bonuses to ANYONE on this newsletter. Check them out:

  1. 1:1 Mentorship Session with Kerry – A private 60-minute call to dive into your goals, questions, or sequencing support before training begins. (valued at $150)

Join me on Substack

I have a lifelong dream of being a writer. I am a lover of books and journals and documenting my life. I think that is why I originally lvoed instagram. But now, IG feel so... strange and a blog doesn't feel personal enough and I miss the days of tumblr SO I am trying out substack. If you want to hear more of my opinions on health, wellness and yoga teaching, come joint me over there. I will still be writing blog post and emails but those will be more educational. Substack will be a bit more off the cuff and a bit more of a inside, unfiltered look in my brain. Think part Livejournal part early days of IG. I'm excited. I've committed to myself to post once a week so we will see how that goes!

As the Wheel Turns.. September is one of my favorite months in the Berkshires. After the hub bub and chaos of summer, September is such a blessing. September feels like a fresh start but without the pressure of new years resolution. September feels like an old friend that always has time for a chat and a cup of tea. September feels like a big, long exhale after running around all day. The energy of September is equal part rest and cozy and magnetic and energized and...I very much love it. But...

As we say Goodbye to July... July has flown by (as it usually does here in the Berkshires). On one hand, I am happy to see July in the rearview. I often forget that living and owning small business in the Berkshires means I don't sit down or even have a second to breathe from June 15th to July 15th. It's a beautiful and abundant time but it is also a chaotic and sometimes stressful time. It aligns well with the natural world... nature is blooming with abundance and activity. On the other...

Happy July! Summer is kicking in the Berkshires and the warm weather has me wishing I was on a floatie in the middle of the ocean somewhere some days. At the same time, I do love Berkshire summer-- the sunsets, the lake, the garden. It's what I look forward too all winter. I think it's important in the joy (and chaos) of summer to slow down too. To soak in all the natural world has to offer and to have some days to just be. I'm not quite sure where that fits into my summer plans but I do know...
