Hi Friends, Happy Small Business Saturday! I wrote a little something on instagram that I wanted to share with you all here as well. I have owned my physical therapy and wellness company, Live Good, Feel Good, since 2019 and owned Yoga Lee since January of 2024. They are two very different businesses but equally as important to me over the years. Owning a small business is not for the weak of heart and there are some days where I truly wonder what the f*ck I was thinking (LOL). There are so many more days where I am near tears with gratitude for all the amazing humans who have come into my life because of both my businesses. As a small business owner, much of the work you do is behind the scenes— the emails, the cleaning, the website design, the marketing, more emails, more cleaning, client retention, social media. Most of the job is what no one can see. It can feel at times that you are endlessly working and at the same time that you are never done. And with all that said, I can honestly say there is nothing more rewarding. I think my heart I always knew I would own a small business even when I didn’t know exactly what that would look like. On the hardest of days, I only have to look to our members and my clients to remember why I do what I do. I am rewarded daily with: 1. messages of transformation and kindness 2. smiles and hugs for all that myself and my team does 3. watching students and clients do new things with their bodies and gain more confidence 4. seeing yoga students make new friends and reconnect with old friends. So on this small business Saturday, I am equal parts grateful and overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by all the things on my to do list and all the things I need to do to keep the doors open while also feeling incredibly to do this for work— to get to change lives and connect with people every single day. If you’re reading this and own a small business, you’ve got this. I truly believe small business can change the world. If you’re reading this and you know a small business owner, give them some love this holiday season (they probably need it)— buy a gift card, tell them how much you love them, share their biz on social media, tell your friend about them— every little bit helps. Thank you for your continued support-- it's essential for small businesses like mine. I would love to share with you some ways you can support me, Live Good, Feel Good and Yoga Lee this holiday season! xx Kerry Dr. Kerry McGinn PT, DPT, RYT (516) 318-6627

As the Wheel Turns.. September is one of my favorite months in the Berkshires. After the hub bub and chaos of summer, September is such a blessing. September feels like a fresh start but without the pressure of new years resolution. September feels like an old friend that always has time for a chat and a cup of tea. September feels like a big, long exhale after running around all day. The energy of September is equal part rest and cozy and magnetic and energized and...I very much love it. But...
As we say Goodbye to July... July has flown by (as it usually does here in the Berkshires). On one hand, I am happy to see July in the rearview. I often forget that living and owning small business in the Berkshires means I don't sit down or even have a second to breathe from June 15th to July 15th. It's a beautiful and abundant time but it is also a chaotic and sometimes stressful time. It aligns well with the natural world... nature is blooming with abundance and activity. On the other...
Happy July! Summer is kicking in the Berkshires and the warm weather has me wishing I was on a floatie in the middle of the ocean somewhere some days. At the same time, I do love Berkshire summer-- the sunsets, the lake, the garden. It's what I look forward too all winter. I think it's important in the joy (and chaos) of summer to slow down too. To soak in all the natural world has to offer and to have some days to just be. I'm not quite sure where that fits into my summer plans but I do know...
