Happy June!It is almost officially Summer in the Berkshires -- maybe it is near you too? I have definitely been feeling the influx of people and energy in the Berkshires. It is equal parts exhilarating and energizing as it is exhausting and overwhelming. As a small business owner that relies on tourism, I have to remind myself to take a pause from time to time and TRULY enjoy the summer, not just keep plugging away because the opportunities are endless. So, in case you're like me and need the reminder to slow down, here it is! (LOL) As we enter the summer season, I have a few promises that I want to keep for myself and I wanted to share them with you, maybe for accountability, maybe they inspire you, maybe they are silly! My Summer 2026 Promises/Intentions/Goals Jump in the lake weekly:) Write more-- on substack, my newsletter, my journal, on a napkin, anywhere Remember to take days off of email FIND JOY... even in the mundane Put my body first (or at least not last): IE: don't skip the workout or the meal for just one more email. This are things I return to weekly, monthly and yearly as things I seek in my life and things I endlessly struggle with. These are things I encourage my clients and patients and students to do, yet, I don't always remember to do. Let's just say, I'm a work in progress. Do you have any intentions for this summer? I'd love to hear them. On another note, this weekend is the Summer Solstice and I hope to celebrate with a fire pit and some time outdoors. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite ways to celebrate the Summer Solstice. I wrote a blog about it a few years ago and I hope you enjoy it.

As the Wheel Turns.. September is one of my favorite months in the Berkshires. After the hub bub and chaos of summer, September is such a blessing. September feels like a fresh start but without the pressure of new years resolution. September feels like an old friend that always has time for a chat and a cup of tea. September feels like a big, long exhale after running around all day. The energy of September is equal part rest and cozy and magnetic and energized and...I very much love it. But...
As we say Goodbye to July... July has flown by (as it usually does here in the Berkshires). On one hand, I am happy to see July in the rearview. I often forget that living and owning small business in the Berkshires means I don't sit down or even have a second to breathe from June 15th to July 15th. It's a beautiful and abundant time but it is also a chaotic and sometimes stressful time. It aligns well with the natural world... nature is blooming with abundance and activity. On the other...
Happy July! Summer is kicking in the Berkshires and the warm weather has me wishing I was on a floatie in the middle of the ocean somewhere some days. At the same time, I do love Berkshire summer-- the sunsets, the lake, the garden. It's what I look forward too all winter. I think it's important in the joy (and chaos) of summer to slow down too. To soak in all the natural world has to offer and to have some days to just be. I'm not quite sure where that fits into my summer plans but I do know...
